Electronic Drums
An electronic drum is a percussion instrument in which the sound is generated by a sampler or electronic waveform generator unlike acoustic vibration in a conventional drum.
Electronic drums have some great advantages over conventional caustics drums. For example, in an electronic drum, it is plausible to channelize the sound generated to virtually any speaker system – such as a headphone – through a wire so that one could practice the drums at any hour without letting others hear any sound. Further, with the aid of sampled songs minus drums pre-embedded in a sound module, one could practice to play drums to multiple music styles, all by oneself, by just varying the sample. There is no need for external music system or an orchestra to play the song for the drummer.
Finally, electronic drums are quite easy to transport as opposed to the bulky acoustic drum sets, thanks to its small size and light weight. If there is any component in the electronic drum set that is heavier, it is the electronic drum amplifier. But, then, the size and weight of it will vary with the model and user preference.
